We as humans are engines that need to be fueled well. Doing our regular jobs and chores, we get drained. Furthermore, we feel “where did our life go?” “What did we do all these years?” Life is meant to be lived each day to really breathe in the moment and not compete for something that’s short lived. All the pleasures and sweetness of life can be enjoyed when we give ourselves the permission to live slowly and taking one thing at a time. You can bring in some habits that truly allow your mind, body and soul to recollect, rejuvenate and restart for a better today.

Here are some habits that you can get started for yourself
- Make Your Bed
The first thing to do when you wake up is set your bed. Period. This is very important because it gets you in the mode of action and worked up for the day as well as give a positive reinforcement of accomplishing a small but life changing task.

- Declutter your space
This is a big one. Once you start getting into the habit of cleaning your house and letting go of the things you don’t need, you will start to feel decluttered in your mind too. It is as if some weight in your mind and body has been released. Things do hold energy, just like our body stores our souls. So clearing the space and allowing something better to come is growth. - Brush, Drink warm water
Then, it’s important to brush before taking anything in our mouth. Then we should drink the bare minimum warm water or any detox drink for our digestive systems to get ready.

- Meditate
Meditation is one of the oldest methods to connect with yourself. The one who develop a habit of meditation see results in the form of good sleep, memory, calming the self, better decision making, relaxing and slowing life, better nervous system, concentration, and many more. It is the art of doing nothing. It certainly is the best way to think what you want in life.

- Journal your thoughts, feelings
Buy a good journal where you can write your feelings and thoughts instead of ruminating in your head. Thoughts both positive and negative have realistic manifestations. It’s important to lay it down and let it go. Everything starts from your thoughts. If they are not serving you, it’s recommended that you put it out to sort it out. It can be something like this
- Plan your day/week/month
Post that, plan your day about all the sections like
- All your meals in a day
- The to-do list
- Wake up and sleep time
- Important calls
- Time for friends and family
- Gratitude
- Any specific task to be done/thing to be bought etc.
- Listen to a Subliminal
A subliminal is an audio that has embedded affirmations/messages that you can’t hear consciously but subconsciously. A subliminal can have positive affirmations and thoughts that want to bring in your life or create a belief system in your subconscious mind. Listening to them in a calm, drowsy state especially in the morning and before sleeping can rewire your subconscious mind. - Exercise/Yoga/Running/Any physical Activity
This one goes without saying and it should be a part of everyone’s life to be healthy and fit. One can engage in healthy nutrition as well as move the body for flexibility, toned figure and definitely general wellness. Every day, minimum 15 days should be devoted to your own body for better functioning and long term growth.

- Make a water intake target
While working/studying/travelling/playing, we don’t drink much water that is necessary and required by our body to keep functioning and perform all the involuntary tasks. A minimum of 2 litres and maximum of 4 litres is a must. You can check the bottles here
- Brush at Night
This habit in me was not introduced by my dentist but from the closed ones who had made several visits to the dentists and described their tooth pain as unmatchable to anything. Brushing at night is more important than brushing in the morning. All that we eat the entire day has tit bits in our mouth that can’t be just cleaned with flossing or gargling. You need to brush every night to avoid the mishaps that can be prevented.
- Read any book, learn something new/skill
In our busy going lives, we hardly have time for something new, let alone we do our basic tasks. But it is necessary that there is growth and development of our mind and that we are evolving. Reading a book brings a whole new perspective to our already existing paradigms/assumptions/knowledge base. Reading non-fiction is as necessary as delving into fiction. You get enlightened. On the other hand, learning a new skill set completely changes you. You are now much more refined and it can help you in building your career or bringing an edge to your personality.

Therefore, it is necessary and needed to establish such a lifestyle that is basic and nourishing.
